A custom suit made in Bangkok should be one of the best-value garments you ever own — but only if the process is done properly. At Khaosan Tailor, every suit is cut to your individual measurements, built around the fit and style you actually want, and fitted in person until it is right. And unlike the showroom tailors, we come to you: your measurements, fabric selection and fittings all take place in your hotel room or home, anywhere in Bangkok.
Suit Styles We Make
We tailor every common configuration and most uncommon ones: single-breasted two-piece business suits, three-piece suits with matching waistcoats, double-breasted suits, slim and classic fits, and lightweight unstructured suits for Bangkok’s climate. Lapel style (notch, peak or shawl), button stance, pocket style, vents, working buttonholes, lining choice and monogramming are all up to you. If you have a photo of a suit you love, bring it — recreating a specific look from a reference image is one of the most common requests we get, and one of the things we do best.
Fabrics
We carry a wide selection of suiting fabrics, from hard-wearing wool blends that make excellent everyday business suits, to fine merino wools, linens for hot climates and summer weddings, and premium cloths for clients who want something special. When we visit you, we bring fabric books and swatches suited to what you have told us you are looking for, so you can see and feel the options in person before deciding. You can read more on our materials page.
How the Hotel Visit Works
Message us with your dates, where you are staying, and what you would like made. We arrange a time that suits you and come to your hotel or home with fabrics and style references. The first visit covers measurements, fabric and design decisions and takes around 45 minutes to an hour. Your first fitting usually follows within one to two days, and a completed suit can be ready in as few as three days, subject to sufficient fittings. There is no shop to find, and no middlemen to drive up prices. See what we charge.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a custom suit take in Bangkok?
A suit can be completed in as few as 3 days, subject to sufficient fittings. If your schedule allows 4–5 days, we can accommodate an extra fitting, which we recommend for structured or slim-fitting suits.
How many fittings will I have?
Typically two: a first fitting once the suit is basted or partially constructed, and a final fitting to confirm every adjustment. Both take place at your hotel or home at times you choose.
Can you copy a suit I already own?
Yes. Bring the suit to your first appointment and we can replicate the cut and fit in a new fabric, or adjust anything you have always wanted changed about it.
Do you ship suits overseas?
Yes. If your travel schedule is tight, we can complete your suit after your final fitting and ship it to your home country.
