Linen Suits Bangkok

If you are going to own one suit for hot weather, make it linen – and if you are going to have one made, Bangkok is the place. Khaosan Tailor makes custom linen suits built for the tropics: breathable, unstructured where you want it, and cut to your exact measurements, with every appointment at your hotel or home.

Built for Heat

A linen suit for the tropics should be constructed differently from a business suit. The jacket should be half-lined or unlined so that the breathable properties of linen fabric can be appreciated, and the canvassing should be lighter. We make single and double-breasted linen suits, linen-blend suits that resist creasing better than pure linen, and standalone linen jackets and trousers. Popular for beach weddings in Thailand, summer weddings at home, and anyone who simply lives somewhere hot.

Linens and Blends

Pure Irish and European-style linens in classic naturals, creams, sands and blues, plus linen-wool and linen-cotton blends that hold a crease and travel better. We will talk you through the honest trade-off: pure linen breathes best and wrinkles most; blends compromise a little of each. Swatches come to your appointment so you can feel the difference. Weddings in the Heat

Linen is our most requested fabric for destination weddings in Thailand, for grooms, groomsmen and guests alike. We can outfit a whole wedding party with coordinated linen suits, with group discounts for orders placed together. See our wedding tailoring page for the full service.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does linen wrinkle too much for a wedding?

Some creasing is part of linen’s character, but construction matters: a well-cut linen or linen-blend suit creases gracefully rather than collapsing. For photos-heavy events, a linen-wool blend is the safest choice, and we will advise honestly based on your plans.

How long does a linen suit take?

As few as 3-5 days, subject to sufficient fittings – only slightly longer than the amount of time we need for other suits.

What colours work best for a beach wedding?

Naturals, sands, creams and soft blues photograph beautifully against sand and sea. We will bring options in those tones to your appointment, along with anything else you would like to see.
